Axa grows despite softer markets on mix shift and pricing defence

Global re/insurance group Axa grew its P&C business by 3% in the first half of 2026 balancing growth in personal lines and SME/mid-market commercial against caution in large-cap commercial and reinsurance housed in Axa XL. Margins ended H1 largely flat.
