Axa to snap up €1.2bn premium Italian MGA to supercharge direct P&C

French re/insurer Axa is set to acquire the majority of a direct insurance player in Italy with €1.2 billion of premiums in 2024. The deal is expected to almost double the size of its motor business in the country.
