AXA XL mines Liberty Mutual group for UK & Lloyd’s CUO role

Re/insurer AXA XL selected a long-standing underwriter from the Liberty Mutual family to step in as its chief underwriting officer for UK & Lloyd’s.

Mike Gosselin arrives from Liberty Global Risk Solutions where he had served as global leader, energy & transition risk. Prior to this role he spent 20 years at Liberty Speciality Markets, including as chief underwriting officer responsible for multiple lines of business.

AXA XL hands Gosselin responsibility for underwriting strategy, portfolio performance and profitability for AXA XL in the UK across the Lloyd’s and company market platforms.
