Berkley may ease rate demands to capture lingering growth opportunity

WR Berkley could be feeling the growth itch and has identified pockets of the market, chiefly in segments of primary casualty, where it could be ready to ease back on rate demands in order to scratch it despite the market’s broader move into tougher competition, CEO Rob Berkley (pictured) has indicated.
