Berkshire’s Nico pays $1.12bn to end Hartford asbestos showdown
US P&C carrier The Hartford struck terms with Berkshire Hathaway commercial unit Nico to bury the hatchet over an asbestos book gone (and still going) bad and kill-off a 10-year old adverse development cover at what appeared to be a haircut for The Hartford.
