Bermuda Q3 reinsurance update: growth moderates, casualty and ILS strengthen

Bermuda-based reinsurers are entering a phase of measured growth, portfolio discipline, and strategic repositioning, revealed by Q3 results. The current market seems to balance opportunity with caution. While property lines face softening rates and a quarter of lower catastrophe activity, casualty and specialty business, along with the island’s thriving ILS market, are emerging as key drivers of performance.
