California FAIR Plan faces runaway end-February treaty renewal

California’s residual wildfire insurer, the California FAIR Plan, faces an end-February reinsurance renewal of $3.46 billion from what was a poorly filled tower of $7.1 billion, but will have to reach considerably higher after a year of wild exposure increase.
