California FAIR Plan shells out $3.5bn in manic year after LA wildfires

California’s residual market carrier for wildfire risks, the California FAIR Plan, has shelled out nearly $3.5 billion for some 5,400 claims made following the January 2025 wildfires that carved up major neighbourhoods north and northwest of Los Angeles, the carrier has said.
