California wildfires finally dent cat bond funds end-January

Pure-play cat bond investment funds edged down a notch in the last week of January, finally singed by California wildfires, suffering only their sixth weekly decline since the market recovered from Hurricane Ian in late 2023, a weekly index of bond fund pricing compiled by Plenum Investments has shown.
