Casualty and specialty classes passed the April reinsurance renewals amid abundant capacity and selective underwriting discipline, pushed and pulled not only by their own segment dynamics but by the much more pronounced market moves in property cat that dominated 1/4 headlines, major reinsurance brokerages said of the just-completed dealmaking melee.
