Cat bond funds accelerate gains ahead of would-be storm season peak

Pure-play catastrophe bond funds accelerated their secondary market gains through August, the would-be run up to peak hurricane season in a season thus far devoid of Atlantic hurricanes, an index tracking cat bond fund valuations from Plenum Investments has shown.
