Catastrophe bonds under scrutiny after Hurricane Beryl

Catastrophe bonds are facing scrutiny after Jamaica’s bond failed to trigger following devastation from Hurricane Beryl in July, amid concerns that the insurance linked securities might be skewed against issuers and unfairly favours investors, Bloomberg News has reported.
