CEA likes April renewals as exposures stabilise but assessments linger

The California Earthquake Authority expressed satisfaction with its April reinsurance renewals, tweaked rules to ease cat bond issuance, and left carrier-members guessing as to the future of their financial responsibilities in the residual insurer's claims paying tower.
