CEA ups treaty limit to begin unwind of unliked assessment layer

The California Earthquake Authority (CEA), one of the world’s largest buyers of reinsurance, increased the treaty limit in its tower in the softened renewals to date in 2026, offering the first limit increase after a long string of treaty consolidation and trimming.
