Chubb suffers estimated $1.5bn losses on California wildfires

US P&C carrier Chubb likely suffered $1.5 billion in pre-tax losses on wildfires that swept through regions near Los Angeles in the early weeks of 2025, chief executive Evan Greenberg (pictured) has said.
