CRC Group expands underwriting capabilities with new hires

North American wholesale specialty insurance broker CRC Group has hired new underwriters specialising in transportation as part of its strategic expansion efforts.

Lance Lee has joined the company’s Clearwater, Florida office, and Andrew Weinberg its Minneapolis, Minnesota office as underwriting team leaders specialising in transportation. 

Prior to joining CRC Group, Lee spent nine years with a managing general agency, Greenwich Transportation Underwriters, specialising in underwriting commercial auto coverage for truckers and truck brokers throughout the country. 

Weinberg previously served as an underwriter at wholesale brokerage Burns and Wilcox. 

The company said the new appointments mark a strategic expansion effort aimed at enhancing the group's ability to assist retail agency clients nationwide.
