Cyclone eyes Hawaii for weekend pass at ‘close to hurricane strength’

Tropical storm Hone formed in the central Pacific Thursday and should strengthen “close to hurricane strength” as it takes a course just south of the big island of Hawaii over the weekend. Hurricane Gilma follows behind, but with a very uncertain and lengthy path towards the islands.
