$1bn non-US cat events rack up $18.2bn losses for insurers in 2024: CRESTA

The international loss tally from billion-dollar non-US natural catastrophe events in 2024 totalled $18.2 billion, with floods notably accounting for the majority of the industry's total losses, according to the final CRESTA CLIX update before it merges with PERILS.
