Asia needs more than capital to close protection gap – partnership is key

Asia-Pacific is regarded as the primary driver of global premium growth for insurers – something Swiss Re’s Sigma research consistently highlights. But the region is also incredibly big and diverse and with risks that are not easy to model. This means carriers must be selective in their approach to the region and balance capital allocation between mature markets such as Japan and hyper-growth markets.
