Eaton fire subrogation edges higher; SCE books more settlements

The California utility increasingly tied to the Eaton wildfire, one of two major wildfires that destroyed regions near Los Angeles in January 2025, has now booked settlements of $1.6 billion in Eaton-related claims, including fresh subrogation deals that have boosted the overall subrogation valuation.
