Everest toppled: writes $2bn in US casualty reserves; troubles persist

Everest Group wrote a whopping $1.7 billion net in reserves following a review of its book, with a heady $2 billion in gross reserves against US casualty offset by releases elsewhere – then admitted it had miles to go to fully reset the troubled segment where it has done battle throughout 2024.
