Excess capacity pushes ever more of E&S space past profit limits

Excess capacity is pushing past rate adequacy in more and more corners of the E&S market, ensuring a buyers market at least throughout 2026, with some newly deployed MGA-backed capacity starting to stand out as a potential weak spot on the market, analysts at AJ Gallagher’s wholesale broking unit RPS has declared.
