Extratropical windstorm Nils to cost insurers €586m insured loss

Extratropical windstorm Nils, which struck the Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Occitanie regions in southwest France from February 11–13, 2026, is expected to deliver €586 million in insured losses, according to Perils’ initial estimate.
