Florida’s state hurricane cat pool, the Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund (FHCF) regained a healthy bit of lost firepower in 2025, as both the 2025 hurricane season and prior storms proved milder than expected, but could still have to reach out to insurers for more cash if a major event happens.
