Florida cat pool FHCF builds power in 2025 as storm history weakens

The Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund (FHCF), Florida's state-backed property cat reinsurer, shored up its finances during 2025, in part on declining loss estimates for hurricane Milton in 2024, a semi-annual claims paying report from the public pool indicated.
