Florida Citizens hacked PMLs 55% YoY, may need $3bn reinsurance

Florida’s insurer of last resort Citizens slashed its probable maximum loss metrics for the coming hurricane season by more than half year-on-year, padded its surplus and would need a mere $3.0 billion in private reinsurance or ILS in its claims paying tower, an annual PML study has shown.
