Florida Citizens renewal sends a warning to property-cat reinsurers

The mid-year property cat reinsurance renewal of Florida residual wind insurer Citizens shows ILS in the pricing lead, putting the type of pressure on traditional treaty that can easily carry through to the 1/1 2027 treaty renewals, one equity brokerage is telling investors.
