Florida hurricane cat fund slashes Milton, Helene loss estimates

Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund (FHCF), Florida's state-backed property cat reinsurer, may sneak past the full array of 2024 hurricanes on losses of only $3 billion, below prior estimate, and will head into the 2025-6 season with $8.6 billion in liquidity on hand ahead of potential further borrowings.
