Florida hurricane risks oversold in models, underbought by reinsurers

Reinsurers have yet to give full credit to the Florida homeowners insurance market for the value of tort reforms enacted in recent years, amid suggestion that cat models remain seeped in the preceding decades of bad regulation and market shenanigans, top officials from a key Florida carrier have suggested.
