Florida’s Citizens fills mid-year reinsurance tower at below budget

Florida’s insurer of last resort Citizens secured its $2.89 billion in new reinsurance cover at the mid-year renewals, filling out the $4.49 billion in reinsurance and ILS it needed for its $12.86 billion claims-paying tower at a price which came in under budget and well below prior year.
