Florida’s Citizens trims 2024 reinsurance, claims ca 8% unit cost cut

Florida’s insurer of last resort Citizens skimped at the mid-year reinsurance renewals, taking a mere $3.56 billion in limit for $482 million in costs, well below the initially targeted $5.5 billion in limit for which it had pencilled in a budget of $750 million.
