Former Aon reinsurance UK CEO Frankland joins Faraday

Faraday Underwriting (FUL) has appointed former UK CEO of Aon Reinsurance Solutions Nick Frankland as a new non-executive director, effective from February 1, 2024.

Frankland has held key leadership positions in the insurance and broking industry. He previously served as the UK CEO of Aon Reinsurance Solutions UK and most recently as the chairman of the Strategy and Technology group at Aon. His distinguished career includes significant contributions at both Guy Carpenter and RK Carvill prior to joining Aon.

Frankland will succeed Faraday's current non-executive chair, Martin Pike, who is retiring after nine years in the post, including nearly six years as chairman.

Subject to regulatory approval, Frankland will succeed Pike as chair in May.

Faraday said his appointment comes at a pivotal time for the company, as it looks to transition “beyond our position as a mid-size syndicate with consistent upper quartile profitability,” and focus on diversification and profitable growth, particularly in the specialty insurance sector.
