Gallagher chief warns on PE-backed hiring lures; long-term maths doesn’t add up

High-growth insurance brokerages backed by private equity (PE) are offering sizable signing bonuses that may not translate into strong long-term earnings, according to Arthur J Gallagher chair  and CEO J. Patrick Gallagher (pictured), who said he was “irritated” by such offers.
