Gallagher eyes ‘buoyant’ M&A market in Middle East with ex-Aon swoop
Global re/insurance broker Gallagher has launched a mergers and acquisitions (M&A) practice in the Middle East & Africa (MEA), headed by an ex-Aon Bermuda executive with a background as a corporate lawyer.
Amanda Wynne (pictured) has joined Gallagher in Dubai as divisional director to lead M&A insurance solutions for clients across the Middle East & Africa region.
Prior to taking a career break in 2023, Wynne served at Aon Bermuda for four years, where she held the position of vice president. Before her tenure at Aon, Wynne practiced as an insurance lawyer at Appleby.
Gallagher said: “MEA region is currently experiencing a buoyant M&A market, particularly in the GCC, and Wynne’s appointment reflects the growing demand for local expertise in this specialised insurance offering.”
With her background as a corporate lawyer in Bermuda, Wynne has advised US buyers and sellers on representations and warranties insurance, helping organisations navigate complex insurance landscapes and optimise coverage for multibillion-dollar mergers and acquisitions.
