Global insurance M&A dips in value, ups volume in first half: EY

Global financial services M&A saw a 3% year-on-year increase in transaction volume during the first half of 2026, reaching 1,137 publicly disclosed deals compared to 1,101 in H1 2025. However, this rising activity masks a significant contraction in total capital spend.
