Globe Life establishes Bermuda reinsurer to support affiliate risk cessions

US life and supplemental health insurance group Globe Life has formed and licensed a Bermuda-domiciled reinsurance affiliate, Globe Life Re, under the island’s Class C insurer framework. The entity is authorised to provide quota share reinsurance support for insurance policies issued by Globe Life’s subsidiary companies, marking the group’s formal entry into the offshore reinsurance market.
