All signs still point ‘hyperactive’ at onset of peak hurricane season

The Atlantic hurricane season is holding tightly to its “hyperactive” outlook as of early August ahead of the September season peak, with key forecasting institutes largely holding forecasts of key metrics at some 60 to 90% above the historical average.
