Hannover Re bulks up aviation loss reserves after Russian aircraft court ruling

Big four reinsurer Hannover Re has bulked up its aviation loss reserves by “low triple digits” in the wake of the recent UK court ruling which left war-risk insurers on the hook to pay aircraft lessors who had planes confiscated by Russia at the start of the Russia/Ukraine war.
