HDI enters Asian A&H market with former QBE/Zurich/AIG talent
Insurer HDI Global SE Singapore has entered the accident & health market in Asia with the underwriting appointment of a former QBE, Zurich and AIG executive joining the company from Starr Insurance.
Lisa Leow will have a dual reporting line, to Graham Silton and Chris McDowell, HDI Global SE’s underwriting manager, accident & health Australasia in Sydney.
Leow has more than 20 years in the insurance industry. She joins HDI from Starr Insurance Companies where she was head of accident & health. Prior to that, she held similar positions with QBE Asia and Zurich and spent more than ten years at AIG in different functions.
Leow will use her experience in accident & health insurance in Singapore and across Asia to start a new line of business at HDI Singapore.
HDI Global currently offers property, casualty, engineering, marine cargo, power & energy and political & credit risk in Asia. HDI's Singapore branch functions as a hub for the Southeast Asian market.
