HDI Global plucks property guru from Sompo to lead UK/Ireland drive

Commercial and specialty lines insurer HDI Global plucked UK retail property insurance talent from Sompo International to step in as director of property for the UK & Ireland.

Kate Sutcliffe (pictured right) will be tasked with driving property line growth, with a focus on UK and Ireland corporations with multinational operations that can tie in to HDI’s international programmes. Sutcliffe takes over from Jon Bartlett who retired at the end of last year.

Sutcliffe joins HDI from a three-year tenure at Sompo International where she was head of UK retail property in London. She previously held roles at AIG over a nearly 10-year period plus terms at Allied World, Swiss Re and GE Capital.
