Helvetia-Baloise tie-up could mean 1,600 in job cuts: Berenberg

A pending “merger of equals” between Swiss insurers Helvetia and Baloise could end up costing some 1,600 employees their jobs as the organisations seek cost synergies of around CHF350 million ($426 million), equity analysts have suggested.
