
Hiscox appoints interim chair; tributes pour in for ‘amazing’ Jonathan Bloomer after tragic death
Tributes have been pouring in for Jonathan Bloomer, the chairman of London-listed re/insurer Hiscox, who tragically lost his life in the sinking of the Bayesian superyacht off the coast of Sicily at the age of 70. A prominent figure in the financial services industry, Bloomer was fondly remembered by colleagues at Hiscox, Prudential, DWF, and others as “well-liked and highly valued”, “an amazing man” and “astute and commercially intelligent”.
