Homeowners insurers turn corner, improved results open door to California

Homeowners insurers turned a corner in 2025, with better pricing, sharper risk selection and improved catastrophe management driving a dramatic swing in underwriting results and giving carriers more scope to re-enter California, AM Best has said.
