How Markel’s Q2 earnings call became a trust event

Global insurance group Markel missed a chance for an ‘earnings event’ victory lap on its continuing insurance segment turnaround, falling instead on a ‘trust event’ as analysts at the company’s second quarter earnings call couldn’t quite get over a loss on reinsurance collateral in its fronting business.
