Hurricane Debby loss capped at $1.5bn, reinsurers near clear: Moody’s

US private market insurers are likely facing total losses of less than $1.5 billion from Hurricane Debby, with reinsurers facing minimal impact, analysts at Moody’s RMS Event Response have projected.
