Insurance CEO shot dead in New York in ‘targeted attack’

Brian Thompson, the chief executive officer (CEO) of US insurer UnitedHealthcare, was fatally shot by a masked gunman outside the Hilton Midtown in Manhattan early Wednesday (December 4) in what police are calling a “pre-planned, targeted attack”.
