Insurance heavyweights come together to provide $20m parametric cover for Colombia farmers

Colombia’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) has contracted five parametric agricultural insurance policies for 14,402 smallholder farmers across five departments, ahead of the expected intensification of El Niño during the second half of 2026.
