Acrisure poaches president of UK retail from Deloitte
Acrisure, the global insurance broker and fintech financial services provider, has hired Mark McIlquham as president of UK retail.
McIlquham was previously a Deloitte financial services executive, and brings over two decades of experience to the role. He was most recently head of UK financial services audit and assurance, and has specialised in the insurance sector for a number of years, leading complex audit, M&A, restructuring and regulatory projects.
He was a partner at Deloitte for 12 years and held a variety of positions on executive leadership boards and committees.
He will start in his new role on August 1, 2021, and will be based in London, reporting to Grahame Millwater, president of Acrisure Markets and International.
Millwater said: “It is a great reflection of Acrisure’s growing presence and reputation that we have been able to recruit someone of Mark’s stature, profile and reputation.”
Acrisure claims to be the most prolific acquirer in insurance industry history, having completed more than 600 deals since 2013 and more than 400 in the past four years. It has physical offices in 43 states and seven countries.
It has traditionally focused on the US retail insurance market but has recently expanded into adjacent territories and new markets, such as asset management.
