Advent hires QBE property binding specialist

Lloyd's insurer Advent has hired Sarah Mendola, formerly of QBE Europe, in the new role of head of property binding authorities.

Mendola will report to Advent chief underwriting officer William Beveridge.

She joins from QBE Europe, where she most recently held the position of portfolio manager international binders. Mendola joined QBE Europe in January 2011 as a senior underwriter.

Beveridge said: "We welcome Sarah's appointment as another high quality addition to our growing specialty lines business. Her recognised strong technical background in this complex field will add market leading expertise to our property binder account."
