AIG appoints M&A exec
American International Group (AIG) has appointed Angus Marshall as mergers and acquisitions (M&A) manager for the UK.
Based in London, he will report to John Hopper, UK head of financial lines and Mary Duffy, global head of mergers and acquisitions.
Marshall joined AIG in 2013 as an M&A underwriter, responsible for managing and underwriting transactions originating in Africa, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, India, and Israel.
Prior to joining AIG, he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in their international tax and mergers and acquisitions practice and Norton Rose Fulbright in private mergers and acquisitions.
Hopper said: “Angus will build on our excellent technical and market leadership which will allow us to continue to deliver stand out products and services to our customers and distribution partners”
Marshall added: “M&A activity is increasing across a number of sectors at the moment so I expect to be very busy in the coming months. I am very much looking forward to the challenges ahead.”
